Nick Kavadellas, President and CEO
Kavadellas brings more than 26 years of sales and management experience in software and service industries to his role as President and CEO where he guides the strategic direction of the firm and maintains a pulse on the development and delivery of services.
Prior to founding Orasi in 2002, Kavadellas was the Executive VP of Software Product Divisions at Starbase, where he established executive product direction and integration strategies for company’s suite of applications. Immediately prior to Starbase, he was the Founder and CEO of Technology Builders, Inc. (TBI); where he grew the company to $30 million with more than 750 clients. Before he founded TBI, Kavadellas was the VP of Sales for KnowledgeWare, where he led the southern region sales team in successful corporate complex solution selling; personally and consistently demonstrated over-quota performance in providing application development tools and services to Fortune 500 organizations. Prior to that, he was the regional manager at Computer Associates (CA) for 3 years.
In 2011 Kavadellas was recognized with the Cobb Volunteer of the Year award for his work at Kell High School and the creation of the Cobb Football League (CFL), the official high school feeder youth football and cheer program of Cobb County. Kavadellas founded the Cobb Football League in 2011 and is currently the president.
Kavadellas earned a B.A. in Industrial Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
James Arnold, Jr., Senior Vice President, Strategic Accounts
Arnold is responsible for oversight of Performance Testing and Security Testing as well as management of the Pre-Sales Function, Strategic Accounts Delivery and a portion of the sales team.
Arnold brings more than 14 years software sales and service delivery experience to his role. Immediately prior to working for Orasi, he was employed by Borland Software Corporation where his sales efforts were recognized with a President’s Club award. Prior to Borland, he was hailed for exemplary sales efforts during his tenure with Starbase Corporation.
Arnold earned a B.S. in Industrial Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He counts spending time with his three children, as well as coaching football and saltwater fishing among his greatest pleasures.
James Azar, Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer
In his role as SVP and CTO, Azar is charged with oversight of service delivery, technology evaluation and strategic planning.
A 29-year veteran of the software and services industry, Azar came to Orasi from Starbase where he served as Vice President of the Caliber division. Prior to Starbase, Azar was a co-founder of Technology Builders, Inc. (TBI), where he was credited with building the original CaliberRM requirements management tool and led the engineering and product development teams to the ultimate delivery of that commercial software application. Before joining TBI, Azar worked for Computer Associates (CA).
Azar earned a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Alabama, College of Engineering, where he was named to the Deans’ Leadership Board. He furthered his education with advanced and continuing studies at Stanford University, Carnegie Mellon and Auburn University at Montgomery.
Azar has been published in both IEEE and ACM. He lives in Marietta with his wife and three children.
Caleb Billingsley, Senior Vice President, Performance, Data, and Delivery
Billingsley brings more than 20 years of industry experience in computer software to his role as SVP of Performance, Data, and Delivery. He leads a large team of performance testers and tuners that are executing cutting edge mobile performance testing projects, spike performance tests of over 100,000 users, as well as legacy Citrix, PeopleSoft, Oracle, JDE, and SAP performance tests.
Recently, he has focused his team on managing complex performance tests for high profile and critical applications by utilizing cloud assets to scale from multi-region zones. These tests find problems in pre-production and production environments before they buckle under heavy loads that can be caused by social media, major news announcements, or seasonal sales for major retailers.
Billingsley has over 15 years of experience in Technical Management, a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology, and consulting experience with 100’s of Fortune 1000 companies. He has been a hands on engineer, consultant, trainer, solutions architect, and manager. He is a natural problem solver, able to look at complex problem situations and lead teams to determine optimal solutions.
In his free time, Billingsley enjoys spending time with his family and has a passion for community service. He actively gives back to the community with Boy Scouts of America and attending mission trips. Additionally, he is an avid runner and RC enthusiast.
Mark Lewis, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing
Lewis is responsible for oversight of the field sales and inside sales organizations as well as all of marketing.
Lewis is one of the individuals who formed Orasi in 2002 and have since helped to grow revenues to $75 million in 2012, making Orasi one of the largest HP Software partners in the U.S.
Prior to joining Orasi, Lewis was the Vice President of Sales for Technology Builders, Inc. He’s also served as the VP of Professional Services for Starbase and as a Senior Account Executive for KnowledgeWare Corporation. All total, he brings more than 24 years of software and services sales experience to the role.
Lewis earned a B.S. in Finance from East Tennessee State University. He enjoys golfing, boating, travel, coaching his kids’ sports and spending time with his wife, four children and a dog named Boomer.
Karl Rubin, Senior Vice President, Operations
Rubin brings more than 27 years’ experience to his role as Senior Vice President of Operations where he is charged with management of all the operations function as well as the support division, which he formed in 2008.
Currently Rubin’s group provides support for more than 400 customers and was recognized in 2009, 2011 and 2012 for their excellent service as the HP Software Support Partner of the Year.
Prior to joining Orasi, Rubin was Director of CaliberRM Engineering at Borland Software, Inc., where he coordinated the efforts of Software Development, Quality Assurance and Product Management teams to establish CaliberRM, an award-winning enterprise requirements management system, as the market leader.
Rubin earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Southern Polytechnic State University.
As a USAF Reserves Staff Sergeant, Rubin was awarded the Basic Military Training Honor Graduate Ribbon For demonstrating excellence in all phases of academic and military training (limited to the top 10% of the class) as well as the Air Force Achievement Medal for outstanding achievement service rendered specifically on behalf of the Air Force.
In his free time, Rubin enjoys golfing and watching his two daughters play fast pitch softball.
