Cara Woodland is Vice President of Customer Insights at Innovation Focus Inc. Her role at IF is to work with clients to design and develop projects to gain a deep understanding of their customers and utilize those insights to create meaningful ideas for growth. She is responsible for the strategic development of the voice of the customer and ethnography business at Innovation Focus.

She has published over a dozen articles on these topics and is a regular speaker and trainer for conferences, associations and companies. Recently she has published a two-part workbook on conducting ethnographic research and has co-authored a chapter on anthropological and ethnographic tools for the Product Development Management Association. Some of her past clients in voice of the customer research have been Armstrong, Maybelline, Harris, Johnson & Johnson, Kimberly-Clark, Kraft, Mead Johnson Nutritionals, Minute Maid, Rubbermaid, Scotts, WD-40 and Western Union .

Cara has attended the Creative Problem Solving Institute in Buffalo , New York , is involved in the Marketing Research Association as the Vice President of the Philadelphia Chapter, is a guest lecturer at Franklin & Marshall College and is currently studying for her certification in market research from the University of Georgia . Cara received a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing Management from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University , graduating Magna Cum Laude.

Cara's prior experience includes graphic design and marketing for an educational and career information organization. She was also employed by a church to plan, manage and market events.

Outside of IF, Cara's interests include her love for the great outdoors, traveling, baking, reading, playing with her Golden Retriever and spending time with her husband and friends.
